Winterberg

The ski area in Winterberg is already well-known to German, Dutch and Belgian skiers and snowboarders. Nice and close and super cozy. The Skiliftkarussell ski area is ideal for families with children. There are simple ski conveyor belts and child-safe chair lifts.

From mid-December to mid-March, children can learn to ski on Herrloh and Remmeswiese and play in the snow in the Kinderland with a magic carpet, Indian tent and all sorts of funny characters. The children’s area is shielded from the slopes that run along it. For slightly older children there is also a fun park with numerous obstacles.

When the little ones have had enough of skiing at the end of the day, you can go tobogganing at the Astenstraße toboggan lift. There is also a toboggan run on Bremberg. Lots of choice!

On Friday and Saturday, you can even ski in the evenings under floodlights. This is something completely different and exciting for everyone!

At the middle station of the Söllereckbahn in the Oberstdorf / Kleinwalsertal region there is a large practice ski area for beginners and children. Söllis Winter World is a fantastic play and ski area for children with the Söllis Mini Park, the Söllis Monster Trail, many (also
indoor) playgrounds and the Allgäu Coaster toboggan run, which is open all year round. The mascot Sölli is often present and makes the children laugh. With the SölliBully, a wooden snow groomer, the little ones can play the role of snow groomer themselves.

There are several ski schools with a Kinderland with moving carpets, a course with figures, a warm-up and play area and special ski school lifts.

The Alpine Coaster is one of the highlights of a holiday in Oberstdorf, not only for children, but also for the rest of the family. With VR glasses you can even immerse yourself in another world and enjoy the ride more intensively.

In the most family-friendly ski area in Austria, the Almenwelt Lofer, the whole family gets their money’s worth.

For little ones and beginners, it is advised to first book ski lessons at the Herbst Skischule Lofer. The little green dragon Lofino motivates the children and makes them laugh. What a fun experience it is to ride with Lofino on Lofino’s magic train.

At the mountain station of the Almbahn II there is a beautiful children’s area with, among other things, a 140 meter long magic carpet that is even covered. The ideal place to make your first pizza turns in the snow together with your ski instructor. In the meantime, mom and dad can explore the ski area with blue, red and black slopes.

The little ones can take the Family Express up and then go down via the Lofi Funline. Kids just can’t get enough of mastering the waves and obstacles on their own skis. Then you take the 8-seater SenderExpress chairlift to the Witches Funline, a cool course through the forest with various witch figures. There are also beginner and children’s lifts in the valley, at Loderbichl.

Lofer offers a 3.5 km long natural toboggan run. Which child, or even adult, can’t be excited about a good toboggan ride? Especially when delicious hot chocolate with Kaiserschmarren awaits you afterwards.

Snow Space Salzburg – Flachau / Wagrain / St. Johann-Alpendorf

Another ski resort that is very popular with families is Snow Space Salzburg, which includes the ski areas of Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann-Alpendorf.

The little ones can have a great time together with the mascot Wagraini in Wagrain’s Winterwelt at the middle station of the red 8-seater gondola (free for children up to 6 years).

With practice lifts, a magic carpet and a snow park for beginners, this is a true winter paradise on earth. Afterwards, the little ones can rest and warm up in the dwarf house. And every Thursday you can grill sausages together with Wagraini.

The older kids should take the 6-person Sonntagskogelbahn 1, because there is a cool fun slope with numerous obstacles, such as waves and jumps, boxes and a tunnel. The kids can show what they can do on the 600 meter long route. And if you want to try a different route, go to the Starjet 3 mountain station in Flachau and go down the Kidsrun.

Winter sports enthusiasts big and small don’t have to travel far to enjoy fun on the slopes in St. Johann-Alpendorf. Do your children like fairy tales? Then you go into the world of legends at the mountain station of the Buchaubahn in St. Johann. This is a blue slope where the kids meet all sorts of (cute) witches and other fairy tale characters. The daredevils meet in the Alpendorf Snow Park to jump, slide, and try out their tricks over 30 obstacles.

To show parents or grandma and grandpa how well and quickly the children can ski, you can also have your kids measure their time at the SkiMovie in Wagrain & Alpendorf and have a video created from it.

Welcome to family-friendly Pitztal in Tyrol. In the Hochzeiger ski area, your kids can ski, toboggan and snowboard with Pitzi, the little capricorn and his friend Gratsch in Pitzi’s children’s area. Scheffau

There is a small, free practice lift in the middle of the village. With its many wide blue slopes, Scheffau is ideal for families. The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski resort scores highly with children and their parents with both the JUPPI-DO Kinderland and the Schatzberg Zwergenland.

In the JUPPI-DO Kinderland at the valley station of the Reitherkogelbahn, your children can plunge into adventure on various trails (free of charge), including an enchanted forest and an obstacle course. At 3:00 p.m. the mascot Juppi comes and looks at what the kids have learned today.

Austria’s highest roundabout of this coaster has an impressive height of 18 meters. At the Gmahbahn, your children can have a lot of fun on skis and in the snow on the KidsRun, skiing between all kinds of funny characters, on waves and in steep curves.

Les 2 Alpes

In Les 2 Alpes, the ski pass is not only valid for the ski lifts, but it is also your entry ticket to the swimming pool, the ice-skating rink and night skiing. Children under 5 ski free. Nice for mom and dad 😉.

The little ones will have a great time in the Piou Piou children’s area and learn to ski in a playful way.

It is advisable to book ski lessons at one of the local ski schools. Not only is it great fun to meet new holiday friends, but the ski instructors also know the coolest locations in the Les 2 Alpes ski area.

The kids who still need a lot of practice should start at the Alpette lift. There is also a beginner’s area at the Bosquet lift. Some of these lifts are even free. To become a real pro on skis, try out the green and blue slopes as often as possible.

For the more experienced, the Freestyle Land in Les 2 Alpes is just the thing. It is located at 2600m and is a huge area for freestylers with several kicker lines, rail area, easy fun park, halfpipe, boardercross and Park Avenue with spectacular obstacles. There is something for everyone on the 225 kilometers of slopes at Les 2 Alpes.

You can toboggan behind the Bonhomme de Neige refuge, at the Alpette lift, at the La Cote lift and at the Daible chair lift.

For a change, you can go ice skating or have fun on Thursdays in the same area with the bumper cars (from a height of 120 cm). And if the weather doesn’t encourage outdoor activities, you can, for example, play bowling, table football or billiards, Futsal, volleyball, basketball, tennis or handball in the sports hall, or swim and go to the cinema. There are even ice caves at the top station of the Jandri Express lift. So… endless fun in the Les 2 Alpes ski area for you and your family.

Les 3 Vallées – Val Thorens / Les Menuires / Méribel / Courchevel

Although the Les 3 Vallées ski area has over 600 km of slopes, it is still very suitable for families.

Les Menuires

At Boukty Snow Camp and Bramy Snow Camp in Les Menuires, with its slides, tunnels and igloos, the little ones can play in the snow. They learn to ski and snowboard in the ESF mini club and in the ski school. Another activity for the kids is snowshoeing with an exciting treasure hunt through the forest. Val Thorens

In Val Thorens you can not only enjoy fantastic skiing and snowboarding, but also have fun on Europe’s longest toboggan run and go ice skating. Take part in the cool Ski Patrol Experience. Here, 6 to 14 year olds can experience what it’s like to be a real snowcat driver in a mini snow groomer. And why just normal tobogganing when you can build a toboggan tube and race down from the top of the Péclet Funitel with 10 connected toboggans? Go-karting in an indoor arena was yesterday. With the Ice Karts you can also go on the snow (from 7 years). Children as young as 2 years old can go on adventurous dog sled rides through the impressive mountain landscape of Val Thorens with mom and dad.

Meribel

Méribel has a lot to offer for beginners and families. At the Altiport there is a mini snow park, La Piste des Inuits, with a slalom course and small jumps. Or ski through the forest on the Moon Wild slope, where all kinds of animals hide. There is a protected beginner slope called Snow Cool in the center. The Yeti Park on the Mottaret offers family fun with tunnels and caves, snow tubing and mini slaloms. Méribel also offers snow parks, an ice skating rink, a climbing hall, a bowling alley and even a cinema.

Courchevel

You can of course just enjoy the beautiful slopes in Courchevel with your family. But there is so much more to do, such as night skiing, ice skating, swimming in the beautiful Aquamotion with water slides or whizzing down the 3 km long Moriond toboggan run. A real western park with tippis and a magic carpet was built on the summit of Moriond in 1650. For teenagers with freestyle experience, there is a lot to try out in the Family Park with kickers, boxes, rails, ski and boarder cross and big air bags. Switzerland

Davos – Klosters

There is a lot to experience for young and old in the connected ski resorts of Davos and Klosters.

The Madrisa in Klosters is particularly popular with families. 4 magic carpets transport your children through the Madrisa Land children’s snow park and the special practice area in Madrisa Park. The park has a children’s cross park and a racing park and you and your children can take ski lessons from the professionals. The little ones can warm up in the playhouse, which has been specially designed for children. Madrisa Land is a large adventure park with air cushions, funny characters, and a tubing track. This area is also ideal for adults and children with disabilities.

A special tobogganing experience is the 7.7 km long toboggan run, which can be reached by bus from Saas when the snow conditions are good.

Most of the blue and red slopes can be found on the Rinerhorn. The enchanted forest with the witch figures, where you can dash over the snow waves or make small jumps, is particularly popular with children.

Savognin

Savognin is a real top destination for families. The La Nars children’s ski paradise at the valley station of the ski resort is the perfect place for children aged 2.5 and over to learn to ski. There you and your family will find a conveyor belt, but also a ski carousel and a rope lift. In the Pinocchio Club at the ski school Schneesportschule Savognin you can play in the snow or pet the animals on a farm. The highlight is the little train, the Pinocchio Express. The Flurin children’s slope is ideal for the very little ones. Maybe you’ll meet Flurin, the Capricorn mascot!

The Tigignas snow park with rails, kickers and boxes is suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers and is also very popular with young freestylers.

With a length of 7.5 km and an altitude difference of 900 meters, the toboggan run from Somtgant to Savognin is an absolute guarantee of fun. But you also have to try the toboggan run from Somtgant to Tigia / Radons.

Bettmeralp

Princes and princesses aged 3 and over can learn to ski in the Prinzenland on Bettmeralp in the Aletsch Arena and ride the platter lift with the ski instructor. Riederalp

Fiesch

Children aged 4 and over can take skiing and snowboarding lessons and have lots of fun in the snow in the Kids Village of the Snowgarden on Fiescheralp. Do you want more action? Then off to the Funcross Aletsch. There, all ski crossers and snowboarders can whiz through steep curves and try out the cool jumps. This brings variety to your skiing day.

Skiarea Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta – Madonna di Campiglio / Pinzolo / Folgarida / Marilleva

Folgarida Marilleva was voted the most family-friendly winter sports resort in Italy, because it has numerous offers in a wide range of areas for children. The Folgarida Kinderland is a large indoor and outdoor playground. The little ones are looked after by qualified child carers. And the slightly older kids learn to ski here with their new friends.

While the little ones are busy doing snow tubing in the Baby Rainalter Mini Club, the mini freestylers can try out the Mini Ursus Snow Park in Madonna di Campiglio. Here you can have a lot of fun on your skis all day long on waves, jumps, curves and in the snow tunnel.

Val Gardena / Gröden (St. Christina / S. Cristina, St. Ulrich, Wolkenstein / Selva Gardena)

With 52 km of blue and 100 km of red slopes, the Val Gardena / Gröden ski area is ideal for families and beginners.

Child care is available in St. Christina, St. Ulrich and Wolkenstein / Selva Gardena. There are also beautiful and attractive children’s parks. Wolkenstein has the largest Kinderland directly below the Dantercepies lift. Mascot Selvi encourages your children and they can also have lunch here.

The Mini Park Floc in Ortisei with Indian tents and a speed track is the absolute number one among children. The Puntea Kids Fun Park with its many tunnels and snow caves is also very popular. Little beginners can practice their first turns in the snow in the Monte Pana children’s area in St. Christina. The ski schools at Kronplatz offer very special children’s ski lessons in their own Kinderland.

Up on the mountain at Kronplatz there is not only a children’s area, but also a real children’s restaurant. Here you will be greeted by the mascots Flip & Flop.

The Kids Safety Park Kronplatz is suitable for 6- to 14-year-olds. Fun is guaranteed here on the beautifully designed slalom course with steep curves, snow tunnels and lots of funny characters.

The Kids Area Panorama in Olang offers everything for your children: a magic carpet for the little ones, a special children’s and toboggan run, a super cool tubing run and even an ice-skating rink.

In Reischach you can get on the adventure trail of the Korer Kinderland at the valley station. The funny characters Nuno and Snup provide motivation.

The Belvedere cable car takes you to the Kronplatz Snowpark. There is an easy line for beginners and a medium rail line and kicker line for advanced freestylers. Furthermore, there is a special Family Line for children and families. Something for everyone.

Even in the smaller St. Vigil in Enneberg there is a snow park, the playgroundSNOW, with pipes, kickers, horizontal gate etc. and a cool chill area with great sound.

The Skol Max ski school has a children’s area at various locations. In the Medvědín children’s area at the Medvědín valley station, in the Harmony children’s area at the Harmony Club Hotel and in the Horní Mísečky children’s area, the little ones can learn to ski in a playful way with the funny characters and under the guidance of ski instructors. The rope lift at the Labskà valley station is ideal for practicing.
