It’s March and the ski holiday at Easter 2024 is just around the corner. An excellent time for skiing or snowboarding. The snow and piste conditions in the higher ski resorts are excellent and the sun shines longer and longer as the day progresses. Warm clothing is no longer absolutely necessary and the pistes are also less busy than in the peak seasons around Christmas, New Year or in February.

A wonderful time to (re)discover the slopes and then relax in a deckchair with a drink. So let’s go skiing in the sun in March and April. We have researched where you can enjoy the end of the winter season with great offers. Here are a few tips.

Easter in Ski Amadé

Free ski passes for children in Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Zell am See–Kaprun

From 23 March to 7 April 2024, families with children will get their money’s worth in Saalbach–Hinterglemm and Zell am See–Kaprun.

Children born in 2008 or later receive their ski pass completely free of charge if one parent buys the Ski ALPIN Card for 4 days or more. This ski pass is valid in the entire Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski area as well as on the Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn. This is a very good reason to book your ski holiday around Easter now and enjoy the snow and the glorious spring sunshine.

Glacier skiing in the Stubai Valley

If you think that the conditions for skiing or snowboarding won’t be quite as good in the Easter holidays, then head to the Stubai Valley for example to Fulpmes or Neustift im Stubaital. The slopes are perfect here in April and even until 20 May.

Families benefit in several ways, as children up to the age of 10 can hire equipment free of charge if 1 or 2 parents hire the equipment. There is also a free ski pass. The Big Family Fun Slope or the Snow Park offer plenty of fun in the snow. What could be better?

In Schruns, Tschagguns, St. Gallenkirch, Gaschurn or Gargellen in the Montafon, there is still plenty to experience on and off the slopes in March and April. For example, you can enjoy the slopes on skis or a snowboard in the morning and take a ride on the Alpine Coaster on the Golm in the afternoon.

Families with children have a good reason to travel to one of the Montafon ski areas from 23 March to 14 April 2024, as the prices are very attractive. From 5 days, the WildPass ski pass is completely free for children (born 2005 or younger).

Skiers who like to go on a ski tour, for example, will get their money’s worth at this time of year. The mountains of the Silvretta and the Rhätikon in the Montafon are very popular at this time of year. Of course, you don’t just travel to the Saas Valley to look for eggs, as there is plenty more to do in March and April. You can ski and snowboard in the spring sunshine in the snow-sure Saas-Fee ski area until 21 April. The cable car from Saas-Fee takes you up to the glacier plateau with a view of the highest mountain in Switzerland, the Dom at 4,545 metres.
