If you every arrive in Braunwald when it is deep in snow on a bright and beautiful winter’s day, you will know why it is often described as a fairytale world. Eight lifts are available to carry winter sports enthusiasts up to the Gumen mountain inn or the Seblen Ridge - both at 1900 m. 32 km of prepared pistes, ranging from easy to challenging, descend to the village. Winter hikers can choose from a 25 km-long footpath network and there is also a 4-km long cross-country ski trail. Naturally, the family-friendly resort of Braunwald has a sleigh trail and toboggan run, too.
