About the ski resort St. Gallen

The eastern Swiss Canton of St. Gallen borders on Austria, Liechtenstein and Germany. Therefore St. Gallen is ideal for trips to Lake Constance and for example the Appenzell region. Skiers, snowboarders and other winter sports enthusiasts will be impressed by the views of the lakes and mountains of the ski resorts in St. Gallen. On the 60 km of runs in Toggenburg there is something for everybody, for beginners, bon-vivants, experts and carvers. In the existing ski schools carving lessons for beginners, but also freestyle courses for professionals are offered. Since the slopes in Toggenburg are covered in artificial snow, the snow conditions are very good. Behind the Churfirsten are many activities for children and family-friendly prices on the slopes and in the hotels. 40 km of cross-country trails are available for cross-country skiers, whether skater or classic style. Even at night some cross-country trails are illuminated. If you decide to take your dog, there is even a dog-track available. Sleigh rides are offered in Toggenburg and there is also an ice rink. The Park Snowland-Jammin’ which is situated in the middle of the ski area of Wildhaus, welcomes freeskiers and snowboarders. Every year the mega event Warmtobel-Jam takes place in Snowland. Everyone can then show his/her tricks and jumps. In Heidiland several freeride runs and snow parks are offered. You will also find a wide range of cross-country skiing possibilities in Heidiland. In addition, 40 km of winter hiking trails are available and also snowshoeing is offered here.
