270 km of dream slopes, 70 lifts and a huge offer of winter sports facilities. Saalbach is part of the largest Skicircus of Austria, Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. Right at your doorstep you will find many activities, such as skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing or winter hiking and much more. More than 100 km of blue marked slopes for beginners are divided on all slopes and thus the entire ski area can be explored on blue runs. If you follow the three proposed routes of the ski area operators, experienced skiers can complete the whole Skicircus round in a day. Other highlights are the race track Schattberg and the Schwarzachlift, which is lit and where you can continue skiing daily till 21:30. The piste no. 15 on the Zwölferkogel is a World Cup downhill run and other challenging slopes are in Schattberg and on the Zwölferkogel. For freestylers there are 3 Snowparks, a ski and boardercross route and playgroundSnow. Off the slopes freeriders can explore the legendary deep snow slopes. On the Reiterkogel, Spielberghaus and the Maisalm are toboggan runs that makes the heart of the tobogganist beat faster. Also winter hikers can, depending on your preference, choose from 22 winter hiking trails. Along the slopes and in the towns of the valley are countless après-ski bars, like Bauers Schi Alm in Saalbach or the Alibibar at the village square in Saalbach, which invite you for a drink. From traditional ravioli (Schlutzkrapfen) to the award-winning cuisine, Saalbach leaves nothing to be desired in the culinary field.
