With 70 km of pistes and 16 lifts, the Skischaukel Dorfgastein - Grossarltal offers lots of ski fun for everyone. Beginners and families enjoy the 23 blue runs with separate practice lifts and advanced athletic skiers and snowboarders will be satisfied on the many red runs between Dorfgastein and Grossarl. For those for whom it is still not enough, there is the Ski Amadé skipass with a total of 760 km of slopes, which also includes Dorfgastein. Go up with the Gipfelbahn Fulseck and enjoy the beautiful view of the Dachstein and the Grossglockner. A tremendous experience for young and old is the snow igloo at the top station, where many activities are offered and even children’s movies are played. The ski schools of Dorfgastein or Grossarl look after the children and beginners and teach them to make the first turns in the snow. Every Wednesday from 7:15 “early birds” can ski down the empty slopes with the “Skikeriki-offer” and afterwards enjoy a delicious breakfast. Snowboarders and freeriders especially appreciate the powder snow slopes, the challenging mogul slopes and the Snowpark. There are also many additional possibilities for winter sports activities in Dorfgastein. Sit back and relax in a horse sleigh or experience the winter landscape during a winter hike on a total of 35 km of winter hiking trails or during a snowshoe hike. More adventurous guests can let off steam at ice climbing, after they have learned the basics of a mountain guide. The aching muscles can then be warmed up in the Solarbad in Dorfgastein. Daredevils make a flight with a paraglider as a co-pilot in a tandem flight. Après-ski is possible in one of the many local bars or ski huts or enjoy the Austrian Specialities in one of the numerous restaurants.
