The Brixen Valley connects Kitzbühel in the east and the Inntal in the west. In the romantic resort Brixen im Thale are accommodations in every category, starting from four-star hotels to cozy guest houses and even a campsite. With a total of 449 km of slopes and 40 km of cross-country trails, the region is attractive for skiers, snowboarders as well as freeriders, but also for cross-country skiers. For beginners and children there are many ski courses in the local ski school and for the little ones there is even complete childcare. Brixen im Thale belongs to the largest contiguous ski area in Austria, the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser. Here all winter dreams come true with 280 km of slopes and a total of 90 ski lifts and cable cars. Families can enjoy the sun on the wide blue and red tracks and the professionals can carve and schred on the steeper slopes. Freestylers optimize their jumps and show their tricks at the local Funpark or in the Funslope Area. At night 11 km of slopes and 3 toboggan runs are illuminated in Austria’s largest night skiing area. Although Brixen im Thale always has enough natural snow, snow is also guaranteed by 90% slopes with artificial snowing. In Brixental one can make beautiful ski tours from December till April and enjoy the breathtaking views on e.g. the Kitzbüheler Horn, the Hohe Tauern or the Wilden Kaiser.
